Approved? Rejected?

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is Ng Jian Chao, Student from Olympia College Penang Campus. Currently start my practical in The Summit Hotel Bukit Mertajam. The purpose of writing this letter is to request the Reservation System subject for the junior who are currently still in the Olympia College. As a senior here, I would like to help junior to get this subject as this subject is really important. To clearer my request, I would like to tell Sir/Madam some reason why am I requesting for this.

First and foremost, as Sir/Madam knows, Olympia College is having Diploma in Hotel Management courses. In this course, students are going to learn about the function of the all the department so that the students can go for practical in the Hotel. So when the knowledge of the students is not enough, how will others think about us, how will others think about Olympia College? When we request for the practical, we are using the name under Olympia College. If the performance of the student is not so well, or they cannot handle the system because of the college did not provide them the knowledge of that section, who should the hotel blame? They will scold and blame the trainee, and the trainee is us. Sir/Madam, whose fault is this?  Is the trainee get scold is necessary? So if Sir/Madam student can learn from the practical, then what is the point of the student to learn and study in Olympia college? Next, the student don’t know the future challenge they will facing, what Olympia College provide is just basic, but if the basic also did not provide to the student, how can they face the challenge? I heard from many senior, all of them don’t even know how the reservation system works. When they go to a hotel and practical at the front office, they don’t know how to help a guest to check in check out. We cannot expect the Hotel to teach us everything, what they expect are we are ready to work. For me, today only the first day in the front office, when I look at the reservation system, I had zero knowledge about it. Is this my fault, Sir/Madam? But why does Olympia College don’t want to buy this or provide this system? Or Olympia College HQ never received any request about this? For your information, I sure that Sir/Madam know that Diploma in Hotel Management pay more resources fee compare to other course, I think this is necessary for us as Hotel School student to received proper education.

            That’s all the point I can think temporary, I hope that Sir/Madam can discuss and make a wise decision about this issues. This is not all about me, this is all about the future of my junior. Student pay, student learns. Before I stop, I would like to request Sir/Madam to give a reply. No matter approve or rejected, if rejected, I would like to know the reason. Sir/Madam please be informed, please reply either approved or rejected with the reason.
